Volkswagen’s emissions scandal has dominated the news in recent months. The German car giant admitted that around 11 million cars worldwide had been fitted with a "defeat device" that had the ability to change the cars performance during testing. More than eight million of their diesel cars across Europe are set to be recalled, including all of the 1.2m affected in the UK.
